It's Saturday night, and my daughter turns one tomorrow. Time for a change of pace. Here is my book survey. I love me some books!
Rules of this survey - no two answers can be the same book and all books must be fiction.
Book next to your bed right now: I'm reading
"I, Rigoberta Menchu: An Indian Woman in Guetemala" and it is considered non-fiction, but there are many who debate whether her story is, in fact, true.
Favorite series: Either V.C. Andrews: The Runaways; Gossip Girl series, or the A-List series (juvenile I know, but I love 'em!)
Favorite book: Pretty Little Mistakes: A Do-Over Novel by
Heather Mcelhatton, it's one of those books where you can choose your adventure by turning to the page the corresponds with your decision.
The one book you would have with you if stranded on a desert island: None, once I read a book I'm done with it. I do not read books twice, so therefore, I would not want to re-read a book over and over on a desert island.
Book/series you would take with you on a long flight: Harry Potter because I haven't finished it and can't get myself to do it.
Worst book you were made to read in school: Anything with old language in it. I have ADD and I cannot concentrate on a book when I don't even understand what the hell they are saying.
Book that everyone should be made to read in school: I don't really read books that are relevant to education. I read for fun.
Book that everyone should read, period: The Lovely Bones by Alice Seabold. It was such a sad story that really made me change the way I think about my neighbors.
Favorite character: Serena from
Gossip Girl (definitely from the books not the show) because she's a beautiful, free-spirit with so much potential, and she has a butt-load of money!
Best villain: Cat's adoptive father in V.C. Andrew's book
Cat (part of the Runaways series) His long, spidery fingers will forever be ingrained in my memory.
Favorite concept series: I'm not sure what that is, but I already mentioned my 3 favorite series.
Favorite invented world: Harry Potter
Most beautifully written book: White Oleander by Janet Fitch
Funniest book: Confessions of a Shopaholic because that girl is always thinking some crazy shit! Do people actually experience her train of thought?
